…are sometimes necessary when you are stuck in a rut and need to break out. I’ve been doing the same types of customer-service jobs since I was 20 years old, and I have reached the point of total burnout. Despite my efforts, I have not been able to break out of them and move into the kind of creative jobs that I crave.
Therefore, I have made the decision to take the drastic step of quitting my job and taking off to Europe for three months. I have thought about doing something like this for several years now, and after a long hard look at both my job and finances, I decided that it was now or never.
I have my flights booked, my Eurail pass bought, most of my accommodations booked, and a car reserved for the one time that I know I am going to need one. I gave my two weeks’ notice today and in two weeks I will be flying to London.
So proud of you for having the courage to do this.
