I initially saw Chur as a place to stop before going on the Bernina Express, but my opinion of it changed once I got there. I love mountains, and the Swiss Alps are incredible. I’m not sure how to describe this town in the mountains, with its own ski area and a cable car and gondola to get up to it. I don’t ski, nor do I care to learn, but there are also hiking paths and restaurants at the local ski area.
Once I learned about the ski area and walking paths, I decided to go up there and see it for myself. The ticket up the mountain was worth every cent. No matter where I looked, the views took my breath away.
Also, there is a Tschu-Tschu Bahn!!
